Grampian Business Products, Aberdeen

Grampian Business Products are a leading supplier of business equipment based in the North East of Scotland. The project, spanning 6 months of requirements gathering and software development provided the client with a cutting edge tool for customer relationship management. Information from their existing MS Access based system was carried over to a newly designed MS SQL Server database and .Net Windows application, bringing a range of new features and tools to increase their ability to track sales, and to provide new business intelligence features.

The system provides a complete range of features uniquely tailored for the client, including: The ability to track sales opportunities, monitor sales staff performance, quickly price customer quotes from a centralised product database and to perform order fulfillment, as well as giving the client access to a large number of reports designed to help manage and monitor business performance. West Yorkshire Police

Webprofusion were given the task of developing the Small Incident Management System (SIMS) for use by the West Yorkshire Police (the fourth largest police force in the UK, with over 8,000 staff). The system provides an scalable database designed to catalog and organise evidence & witness information relating to an incident. The information is then used to generate the necessary paperwork for court appearances.

The SIMS system is implemented as a windows client-side application using the Microsoft .Net Framework with MS SQL Server 2000 as the supporting database server. Features include an easy to use interface designed for both experienced and novice computer users, an audit trail of user actions and flexible data export options. View client's corporate site

NOP Automotive, London

Webprofusion provided maintenance and subsequent re-development of the client’s Customer Satisfaction Study Intranet/Database which they operate for a major luxury car manufacturer. The product was used to run the survey covering Europe and Asia. Technologies used to develop this system included ASP, DHTML (Javascript/DOM/CSS), MS SQL Server 2000, XML/XSL with MSXML 4 and SVG (using the Adobe SVG browser plugin). Additional projects included a pilot study and prototype of a system for querying live customer survey data via a web interface to a dynamically discovered OLAP data source. Soundshed.com, is a popular musicians classifieds site designed and implemented by Webprofusion dedicated to helping musicians find other musicians to work with. Soundshed.com is easily the finest example among sites providing this type of service in the UK due to it’s highly developed supporting technology. Implemented in ASP/HTML/CSS and utilising DHTML techniques in the user interface (with a database driven backend). XML was used to create an automated RSS feed for content syndication with other sites. View site
