Is there not a single bass player in the whole of the Oxford area who could join our three piece band? If you can sing backing vocals and you want to gig how about getting in touch? This is like the billionth time we have tried to get one. (A bass player that is) It's simple: THE BAD: You will be expected to learn some songs! OK more than 'some'... You will be expected to turn up! Worse - you will be EXPECTED to be reliable! Yes we play 'covers'! Shock horror - other peoples material! No we will never 'Make it big, maaaan'! Nope - we NEVER want to spend 19 months in a studio - spending ££££ to make some racket and then split up before we even get a 'gig'...because all you will play is 'my own stuff, maaaan' Sorry we don't 'play' for 'purity' - we play because we ENJOY doing it. No - we do NOT want to play upstairs in some Pub corner in the middle of nowhere to 3 barmaids and a dog while we 'make the world aware of us' because THAT is what you believe will 'make you' Sorry - a club of 300 people who want to dance and have a top night to a good band - playing songs they KNOW and like sounds like a plan to us! No we don't turn up at a studio to 'jam'! Yes we actually have a game plan! No, I WON'T teach you all the songs and pay £20 an hour in some crappy studio for that privilege! We actually have a point! Oh no - yes! we ARE a 'TRIBUTE BAND!' - You know one of those rare beasts that goes out at weekends and actually plays to people! Yes really! People. LOTS of people. And the MOST surprising thing? They enjoy watching us! How weird is THAT? THE GOOD: You gig. A lot. You get paid. Regularly. Seriously. You might have a giggle every now and then! You CAN be over 30 What more could you want?** **(obviously quite a bit considering some of the experiences we have had lately.......)

Omnia Opera, acid rock raconteurs, require an experienced keyboard player to bring the ship's crew up to full capacity. Own gear and transport is essential, as is an understanding of where we are coming from musically - influences include Hawkwind, Pink Floyd, Cardiacs etc. You will be required to create anthemic chord progressions, driving riffs, and atmospherics of much weirdness.
